Richard G. Hoppenstedt

Richard G. Hoppenstedt 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 15, 2017 at his home in Eatontown. He was born in Plainfield, NJ to the late Elbert Hoppenstedt and Elisabeth (Graff).

Richard was a graduate of Union College and earned his degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Visidaq and EAI and served on the Zoning Board for Eatontown. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Gail in 2015. He is survived by his step-daughter Dana Franznick and her husband Jon. Also surviving are his grandchildren William and Maggie Franznick and his beloved caregiver, Ana.

Richard was a true “Mr Fix It”, enjoyed bridge games with his friends and summers at Manasquan beach. A Life Celebration will be held at John E. Day Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 9 to 11AM followed by a prayer service. Interment will immediately follow at Monmouth Memorial Park Cemetery in Tinton Falls.
