My cousin Pete, while on a cross country motorcycle trip in the spring of '16, contacted & visited me in New Mexico.
It had probably been over 40 years since we last saw each other but we were blood relatives & to our family, a blood relative was never forgotten
We went out to dinner & had a great talk about growing up with the family
We hadn't communicated for awhile so I emailed him recently. When I didn't hear back I did a search & just discovered the tragedy.
My heart goes out to his wife & son who I haven't seen since he was known as "Scotty" by his grandfather, my Uncle Pete
God Bless you Pete...you will never be forgotten
Your cousin always
Bruce

It's always tough to find the right words at such a devastating moment like this, but after working with Pete for 12 years...what I can say is that he was a great man and will be sadly missed. He always thought out his words carefully and was very respectful in how he interacted with people. Michael and I will always remember our time together with you and Patty in NJ. Our deepest prayers and sympathies to Patty, Son Pete(&Family), and to everyone whose life you have touched. I know there are many <3

So sorry to hear this awful news. I worked with Pete in the 60s at Demyan's on Staten Island, during our Wagner College years. He settled in Red Bank and I lived in Fair Haven. We often met at the annual Fair Haven Fireman's Fair and laughed about all the old war stories from our 'bouncer' days. Rest in peace Pete, thanks for your friendship from a bygone era. My prayers are with your family at this most difficult time.

Good man , who I got to know even better in our years after Wagner. You must be partying with all of our great Delta Nu brothers who have crossed over..Chuckie D, Kevin Sheehey, Matt Sinopoli, Greg Knapp, Roger T. Ling, Bobby Gall, Nick Lia, the list goes on and on. Rest my brother , until we meet again Donnie

I have worked with Pete for many years and was truly blessed to be friends with Pete.. Kindest nicest sweetest man I had known. While we cry at his passing we shall remember that we were lucky to know Pete and I am sure he thought the same of his friends, family and colleagues... Rest in Peace my dear Friend and May God guide and keep your soul near him...
