Nellie Lucas

Nellie Lucas 73, of West Long Branch, passed away on March 18, 2017. She was born in Larnaca, Cyprus to the late Antonios Karatzia and Ruth (Niccolaides).

She was a communicant of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean Twp. Nellie loved fashion, the beach; she enjoyed doing crafting, floral arrangements and interior decorating. She loved playing with her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was always the life of every party.

Nellie is survived by her loving children Antony Lucas and his wife Christine, and Peter Lucas and his wife Lourdes. Her brothers Harry Karatzia, and George Karatzia and his wife Anita. Her former husband Christopher Lucas. Also, her adoring grandchildren Kristen, Christopher, Petey, Emily, Alex, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will take place at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Avenue Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Tuesday March 21, 2017 from 4 PM to 8PM. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean Twp. on March 22, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. George Greek Orthodox Cemetery.
