Marie A. Antonelli

Marie A. Antonelli, 92, passed away peacefully at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank October 27, 2017.  Married for 63 years, she was the widow of William A. Antonelli and was a resident of Shady Oaks Village for the past 15 years. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Theresa (Santoli) Calvacca.

Marie was a communicant of St. Catherine’s RC Church in Middletown for over 40 years. She was a long time Bingo night volunteer and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. In her younger days she modeled for Simplicity Patterns. Her love for coordinating fashion always kept her shopping. She was a very creative person who enjoyed painting and home decorating.

Marie is survived by son, William “Bill” A. Antonelli, Jr. and his wife Karen; two daughters Janet M. Peterson and her husband Ralph; and Theresa A. Henry and her husband Glen; six grandchildren: Jacelyn and Ryan, Brielle and Maya, and Dana and Jack; and a brother Joseph Calvacca.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 12 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, NJ  07701. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at the Church of St. Catherine Laboure, 110 Bray Ave., North Middletown, NJ, 07748 at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017. Interment will follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Texas Rd., Morganville, NJ 07751. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Marie’s name to St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959, or the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
