John J. Mavis

John J. Mavis, 60, of Red Bank, NJ passed away on July 9, 2017. He lived in Bethlehem, PA before moving to New Jersey after college. After a long career in IT at Bell Laboratories, he recently started a beef jerky company based in Red Bank. John was an avid photographer, loved to travel, and had a passion for cooking.

John is predeceased by his first wife, Faye Charles Baxevane Mavis and his father, John Jordan Mavis. Surviving is his beloved wife, Eleanor (Nell) Ryan, his loving daughter, Nicole Mavis and her husband Michael Linde, his cherished mother, MaryRose Casciano Mavis, his dear sisters, RoseMarie Mavis and Susan Schwoyer and her husband Scott and their children Erika Schwoyer and Derek Schwoyer. 

All arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the John E. Day Funeral Home.
