Dorothy Mathis

Dorothy Mathis, 95, of Lakewood passed away Thursday, Sept. 7th at home.
She loved nothing more than time with her beloved family.
Dorothy is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Michael and Grace Mathis, Dorothy A. McCaffrey, Virginia L. and Lawrence Cappucci and L. Joseph and Dale A. Granberg Mathis. Also surviving are her dear grandchildren: Timothy, Grace Ann, Bernadette and Colleen; six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A memorial gathering will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Ave. Red Bank, NJ on Friday, September 22nd from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am on Saturday, September 23rd at St. Dorothea’s R.C. Church, Broad Street, Eatontown, NJ followed by interment at Bound Brook Cemetery, 500 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated at stjude.org.
