Dawn Marie Garavente

Dawn Marie Garavente, 52 of Rumson, passed away in Red Bank Sunday, September 17, 2017. Born in Brooklyn to Michael J. and the late Arline (Girard) Palmieri, she was a member of the Rosary Society at Holy Cross RC Church in Rumson. She loved cooking and spending time with family and friends. Dawn was a mortgage bank securities broker on Wall Street for Garban Limited before deciding to stay at home full time and raise a family. 

​Dawn is survived by her beloved husband, her two sons: Robert “Robbie” Garavente and William “Billy” Garavente, Jr.; a daughter Angelina; a brother Michael Palmieri and his wife Jaclyn and a sister Maria Hubler and her husband Howard. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins and her Father and Mother-in-law Louis R. and Eileen M. Garavente. 

​Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Holy Cross RC Church, 30 Ward Ave., Rumson.  Burial will follow at the Holmdel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
