Daniel M. Johnson

Daniel M. Johnson, 31, of Middletown, passed away on June 17, 2017 at his home in Matawan.  He was born in Yonkers, NY to his parents, Maureen (McCoy) and Daniel H. Johnson.  Daniel had a passion for boating, fishing, sports and traveling.  He worked as an Inside Account Manager for SHI International Corporation in Somerset, NJ.

Daniel is predeceased by his grandparents, Matthew and Catherine Johnson and John and Margaret McCoy.  Surviving are his loving parents, Daniel H. and Maureen Johnson, his dear brother, Michael and his wife Kelley Rutkowski, his cherished sister, Maggie Johnson, the love of his life, Chelsea Whittemore, his aunts and uncles, Thomas Johnson and his wife Barbara, John McCoy and his wife Mary, Kathleen Neilis and her husband James, and Margaret Mapelli and her husband Paul.  Also surviving are numerous cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church on Friday June 23, 2017 at 10 a.m.  Cremation will be private.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent in Daniel’s memory to Tuesday’s Children, 10 Rockefeller Plaza, Suite 1007, New York, NY 10020.
