Arno Weber 87, passed away on October 26, 2017. He was born in Red Bank to the late Arno Frederick and Bessie Weber.
He graduated from Middletown High School and obtained his license as a water treatment plant operator. He worked for many years at the Middletown Sewage Authority and finished his career as Superintendent of the South Monmouth Sewage Authority. He served in the US Navy for 4 years as a Chief Bosun’s Mate. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, traveling and wood carving. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge (Red Bank) where he served as Grand Master for many years, the Port Monmouth Elks and the American Legion Post 338.
He was predeceased by his first wife Harriet (Betty) Weber, his brothers Bobby and George Weber. He is survived by his beloved wife Joan Weber, his loving sons Arno Weber and his wife Flo and their children Jen, Bobby and Ryan, and Kurt Weber and his wife Joann, and Richard Weber. Also, surviving is his loving step daughter Patricia Townsend, and his adoring grandchildren; Kurt Weber, Becky Weber, Olivia Townsend, and Amelia Townsend.
Visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 2-4 PM with a 4:15 PM funeral home service. Burial will be on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11AM at Fairview Cemetery in Middletown.
