Anne Gill

Anne S. Gill, 96, of Tinton Falls, NJ, formerly of Palm Coast, FL and East Brunswick, NJ passed away peacefully on June 24, 2017 at home.

Born December 6, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY, she is predeceased by her parents Leokadia Pieskaiciute and Kastantas Saltanis; her late husband of 37 years, David; and her sons, Arthur and Thomas.

Anne was a homemaker who went on to earn a college degree later in life. She attended Douglas College earning a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Art History. She was a practicing artist her whole life and taught Art in both public schools and adult education classes. She loved to travel, walk on the beach, read and spend time with her family.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Jack) Weakley of Tinton Falls; her sisters Genevieve Narvesen and Elizabeth (Richard) Worch; and her nieces, nephew, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great niece and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Chelsea in Tinton Falls and Grace Hospice for their support and kindness in her final days and to Virginia Walsh, her other daughter, for being such an important part of her life during her later years.

A funeral mass will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery in South Brunswick, NJ.
